Ah the cute beginning stages where everything is rose colored and he couldn't be more "perfect" of a person. During this getting to know each other phase everything is phenomenal. From the endless conversations to going on dates left and right. Then there is a certain "image" that is created of this person. This image doesn't show the persons flaws. Some of the red flags that a woman should be looking out for are missed in this googly eyed stage. Here are some red flags to look out for.
Family dynamic - What is this persons relationship with their family? Does this person come from an abusive past? Does this person display any anger or resentment toward their family? Family dynamic is important because it tells the persons upbringing. Mommy and daddy issues are real and they will affect many relationships if they are not addressed.
Blaming others - This one ties in with family dynamic but at the same time evaluate and ask about their friendships. Ask about lost friendships as well. Does this person have a tendency to blame others? This can be a red flag because reverse psychology is real.
Insecurity - Let's face it everyone has their little insecurities, they wish they looked like this or that, they wish they had this or that but those are not the insecurities that need to be addressed as long as they are not an issue. The type of insecurity that starts with "don't look at another guy" or questioning if you are looking at someone. Questioning your motives and your every move those are the things that become red flags when it is unhealthy. The overly jealous ways those are a reflection of their personal insecurity. These behaviors lead to controlling and obsessive ways.
Ladies follow your intuition because the red flags listed above may lead to control, isolation and abusive patterns if not addressed. Don't become so blind at the getting to know each other phase that you lose sight of the important characteristics to look out for. Walking on egg shells early on does not lead to a healthy fruitful relationship. Have fun but ensure that it is healthy!
