The battle between you and your thoughts. They say the mind is a powerful thing and it can be persuasive, strong, yet vulnerable. The importance of mental health is crucial. Mental health is sometimes not taken as seriously as it should. It can take a series of events or just one traumatic event to affect the state of mind. Regardless of the matter it’s something that NEEDS to be addressed. It’s needs to be spoken about. Let’s stop making it a taboo to speak about mental health.

In this fast paced, hustling all the time, selfish, social media driven world it’s easy to focus on the wrong things. It’s so easy to compare levels of happiness just based off social media. It’s easy to open an app and post a positive quote when in reality the feeling is the complete opposite! It’s easy to be fake happy in a picture which takes .00001 of sec to snap a flick, when in reality deep inside there’s emptiness behind that “smile.”

The difficult part is stating “I need help.” There is a stigma about going to see a therapist and just speaking to a stranger about problems and trauma. If you seek therapy there’s a fear of being classified “crazy.” Let this blog be the first to let you know if you seek therapy “YOU ARE NOT CRAZY.” Address the trauma, address the issues, address it all with someone that won’t judge you. It’s ok to seek help. Don’t allow life experiences, trauma, abuse etc. to bottle up inside. Bottling up those feelings is unhealthy and if the mind isn’t right your core isn’t right. It’s a domino affect if your mind isn’t healthy is everything else around you healthy? Believe it or not mental health affects EVERYONE. Let’s put a stop to all these theories and get the proper help. Remember happiness and success goes deeper than a big house and fancy cars.

be the first to get empowered!
